October 3rd| Everyday Autumn Make Up

Hello! It has been such a long time since my last post but now I'm back on it after a long summer of work, preparation and relaxation. I thought I would introduce October with my current everyday make up! My make up collection isn't so vast I forget what products I have but I do like to switch things up especially if I find a new product I love. So here goes,

STEPS:
1. Firstly after cleansing and moisturising I go straight in with the Maybelline Concealer (which I live for) just under the eyes to brighten the area and also on any imperfections. As I don't wear foundation this is enough for me just to brighten the area that need to be lifted and to look glowing.
2. Next, I fill in my eyebrows using my Rimmel Glam Eyes trio. Yes i know its eye-shadow however the darkest brown ran lightly through the brows with an angled brush just adds some more definition. My eyebrows are actually in quite good nick, I pluck them myself, there never sparse and have a pretty good shape. One aspect of this make up routine I actually enjoy doing.
3. After the eyebrows I will then go on to the eyes, with the Collection 2000 Gel Liner, drawing a line closely to the lash line, then bringing it out at the outer corner to create a gentle cat eye effect making it thicker to lengthen my eyes. However sometimes I may miss this step out and just do mascara depending on what mood I'm in and where I'm off to!
4. The onto eyelashes where I carefully curl them for extra length and then add the mascara. I use the Illegal Length mascara by Maybelline, however I like to chop and change mascaras. ( If you have any recommendations let me know?)
5.After the eyes are complete I simply powder my face gently under the eyes, down the nose and anywhere that has a bit of shine to it! Then with the bronzer on the cheek bones, temples bringing it on to the forehead for a gentle bronzed glow but not too intense. I find this step is essential due to the fact I dyed my hair a darker drown so I look in proportion.
6. Then dependent on occasion, or if I feel I need it to compliment an outfit I will add a pink lip paint to intense the look and also add some blush for a rosy girly look.

All in all, its quite minimal and light coverage, but it works for me,
If you have any suggestions or dupe for these products that are great I would love to try them!

Thank you for reading:)

Insight| Boohoo Style Fix

Happy Monday everyone.
Today I'm going to reflect on some certain collections in this summers Boohoo Magazine. Holiday shop, Trends and the Boutique have some great pieces and I was inspired to share my thoughts with you about them. It has slightly transformed into a 'WANT' list, but from a recent purchase from Boohoo I wasn't in the dark about what sort of items they had in and remain pleasantly impressed from the great quality and reasonable priced pieces!

So many beautiful collections that Boohoo portray and their white pieces are definitely flattering yet sophisticated. The 'Lisa Dungarees' are a great alternative to a jumpsuit or maxi dress as it adds definition and class especially as dungarees are back in fashion, but generally are implied to be a more relaxed look with demin-wash and ripped pockets, the stereotypical 'painters look', however just plain white is very classic. Simple cardigans and collared blouses are a great staple piece to add purity and innocence, especially with accents of lace and chiffon. With a pop of colour on the lip an outfit would be so complete.

In complete contrast, the Latina is full of fiery, bright, abstract pieces that seem to compliment everybodys shape, from body-con skirts, to crop vest tops and straight leg tight trousers; there is definitely something for everyone. As floral is a constant winner in every trend, the 'Daniella skirt' is a great piece to either dress up or down but still portrays that Spanish feel. Paired with a white crop top and white sandals a perfect day summer outfit is created. Swap the sandals for red court shoes and for a sophisticated night out look, you cant go wrong. A great selection.

The rainbow traveller reflects the girls who aren't afraid to jump out of the comfort zone for something a bit more daring and bold. Bright neons are such a trend this summer and the 'Lottie top' shows this perfectly. With a Aztec feel of a mixture of accentuated colours can flattered anyone, especially with a great tan. As well as ombre skirts and tops is very Caribbean and a holiday wouldn't be complete without a piece.

As previously mentioned Aztec is loved far and wide and can be incorporated into any piece, from Kaftans, to trousers and crop tops, the list is endless of how to jazz up an outfit and Boohoo definitely show this off in their range. I absolutely love the 'Heidi Kaftan', not so bright but a lovely piece for the summer weather, to throw on over a bikini or to just jazz up a monochrome top and trousers, its gentle material makes a very elegant and feminine look.

Lastly, not forgetting menswear, they have a great range which I feel personally some men bypass. The collection is so up to date with the button up polo shirts, desert boots, print shirts and skinny jeans; they cater for everybody and at such reasonable prices. So if there are any men out there who do read this, definitely check out their stuff.

New Favourite Things| My Life

Every girl has her essentials, but recently in particular I have had products I have depended on. By really needing certain products they have certainly grown on me to become some of my favourite products this season.
I have made compilation of my new loves and categorised them to give this more structure. Enjoy x

Beauty

Bioderma|
Well this has absolutely been my life saver this month. As previously I have heard great things about this product there was nothing else I could do but try it out myself and here we are. Honestly every since I have used this I haven't been tempted to use a make up wipe once! Those of you who are not familiar with Bioderma, it's simply a make up remover which is alcohol free and doesn't contain and nastys that many make up wipes do. I generally remove my make up with a small amount of this liquid on a cotton pad and then go in with a cleanser and my skin is clean as a whistle!

Emma Hardie| Amazing Face Cleansing Balm
This won't come as a surprise to those of you who love your skin care as this is pretty much every girls 'go-to' cleanser. As far as I'm concerned this is the best one I've used and between you and me I haven't used many but I won't again I'm sure for a long time, it's brilliant. As well as smelling great its so cleansing and you feel so fresh and revitalised afterwards. For best results the muslin cloths that accompany the cleanser are great  but a normal flannel works fine. You can use this to remove your make up first but as a second step it works just as good to remove any  left over dirt and grime that remains after use of Bioderma. A must have, I highly recommend it!

Make Up

Topshop| 'Black Cab' Liquid Eye Liner
Now the summer months have hit and weather is considerably warmer I have been going for a more minimalistic approach to makeup and wearing little as possible. However on nights out and to accentuate my eyes for a more dramatic look I love a good cat eye. I have found this liner has given a brilliant effect, the precision the fine tip gives is second to now, and the formula is brilliant. A steady hand is probably a good thing to have as one mistake is obvious, but with practice the perfect winged eye is achievable.  The quality is great and last all day look. Its also so so easy to remove and comes of with one swoosh (courtesy of Bioderma). I will definitely be repurchasing.

Miscellaneous

iPhone 4
Finally, the long awaited moment has come where I received my phone upgrade after 2 YEARS! It was a beautiful moment when I visited the 02 website where they informed me I could upgrade now. Brilliant, they offered me a iPhone 4 which is fine, not  bothered what number it is haha! I was so excited for it to come and literally spent all day on it when it came! Obviously an iPhone isn't complete without a snazzy case and protective sleeve; so eBay I went where I found these adorable floral prints. (I'll leave the links below) . So my month has been made by this wonderful bit of technology! So long Blackberry you piece of...

Clothing

Topshop| White Lace Cami
Lastly, my number one clothing item of this month. I love Camis and this one totally caught my eye. As white goes with everything its been great to pair with everything and I have loved wearing it in the warm weather. Its cropped so looks great with high waisted jeans, shorts and skirts! Its loose fitting so lovely on them sticky hot days. It dips a little at the front, but not enough to see any boobage!I think it was £18, which for a Cami is fairly pricey but I have totally got its moneys worth and worn it constantly! Love this!

Happy Tuesday!

July Glossybox 2013| The Seaside Splash

The time has come again when we enter a new month and remember a new Glossybox will be issued. I just get so excited to try new luxury products and just the sheer suspense of what I will receive each month. In Julys edition, its a Seaside Splash with a contents that well compliments this summer theme. In tribute to the beautiful weather I have 'snap-shotted' the products in the garden for a more summery, holiday vibe.

Such a cute box!

OK, lets be honest this box is far to nice to chuck out so it will sit my bathroom to sort bits and bobs! Anyway onto the products, below is the collection of what I received and I can tell you now I will be using everything in this box which is rare, as some months I just cant get on with products or I just wouldn't use some. They've hit the nail on the head though this month, so here goes.

Anatomicals| Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz
Now, normally I'm not a fan of face mists as I have been taking extra care of my skin recently and some mists can actually be a contradiction and dehydrate the skin, however I figured to use it only a few times a week on hot days isn't the end of the world and short term refreshment won't kill me. The peppermint scent just makes it that more refreshing and cools the skin instantly but no long term changes. I have tried some of Anatomicals products before, they haven't necessarily wowed me but just generically good. But in terms of a summer face spritz for instant refreshments and revitalisation, this does really well. (Not to sure about the random Clint Eastwood image on the back, but hey-ho!)
Full Size: 100ml for £6.00

Alterna Haircare| Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist
Well apart from the title of this product being a total tongue twister, this product is really great. For naturally wavy 'beach look' locks this is brill. As well giving a great effect it adds texture, shine and volume to the hair and also smell incredible. It's similar to a salt spray for example the Toni and Guy one or the Salt Spray by TIGI Catwalk but this does the job just as well! On the hot days in the summer I tend to refrain from using hot tools on my hair to create specific waves or curls, but with a spritz of a salt spray is lot more kinder to the hair and equally gives a lovely effect. A girls must have in her beach bag.
Full Size 125ml for £23.00

Ciate London| Paint Pot
Now no summer seaside essential list would be complete without the perfect nail varnish. I have having a summery colour on my nails which I have mentioned a million times previous to this post. However this tops them all off. I have heard great things about this range and hoped this would be true as reflecting on the price I hoped it would.  Its a beautiful coral pink shade which in all fairness I have a lot of but the formula is so much nicer and smoother on the nail. The brush it self is thicker so one stroke and pretty much have the nail covered; 2 coats is all that is needed and fast drying just makes it a bonus. Not to mentioned the cutest packaging ever. I definitely will be repurchasing some other colours from the range, very impressed.
 Full Price 13.5ml for £9.00

 Sleek Makeup| Pout Paint
A pop of colour on lip is nothing to hide from in the summer, bright red or coral lips are so Summer 2013. As I personally haven't a slightly weird lip shape bold colour sometimes look odd if my application and liner work isn't right. However that won't stop me from using these because they are awesome. I always hear great things about Sleek, not to mention they are such affordable prices but the quality is impeccable. Lip stains frighten me a little so I was apprehensive to try however I am so glad I did, both shades are amazing with such immense pigmentation with a lovely matte finish. Result!, as I'm not one for lip 'glossiness'. Application is so easy with brush or your finger, but even a lip liner isn't necessary because this will not budge, not even after numerous drinks. It is that strong! Pinkini, ( the pink shade) is just lovely, real bubble gum pink and Lava a bright orange shade for the more brave of us girlies. However you can choose the strength you desire in both and little product leave a sweet hint of colour where a lot gives such a bold statement lip, its totally personal preference. Oh and so so so easy to remove, bit of Bioderma Make Up remover and BAM back to normal! Absolutely love these!
Full price 8ml for £4.99
^ERM BARGAIN!

Coola Organic Suncare| Classic Sunscreen
Now everyday no matter what I'm doing I will put a sunscreen on if the weather is hot and sunny, as too many people risk facing the sun without protecting their skin and we all know the risks of sun exposure, you don't need me to tell you that! As well as sun protection it also moisturises, tones and minimises pores which is a must! It is said to have anti ageing benefits as well reduce inflammation and balance moisture. It's a like a miracle in a tube! It also smells awesome, with scents or cucumber, orange, linseed oils and evening primose! A must have on those sunny days.
Full Price 50ml for £25.99

As I have had mine for a while, I have gathered and vast amount of desired items which I thought I'd share with you today. However I will do this in stages as there is lot, but its just a nice way for people to see what's out there on the market.

Dress Me Up| Summer Picks

Happy Wednesday
Today I thought I'd bring you my top summer dress picks
Summer is all about the dress whether it be long and short there is a style for everyone and whatever colour suits you. Every girl should have a dress they reach for in the beautiful weather. I've chosen a selection with a variety of prices, colours and styles so hopefully this could lead you in the right direction if you need some guidance.
(I shall add links of where to purchase at the end)

Beautiful Butterfly| Boohoo
This first piece is a Maxi Dress from Boohoo.com, it completely depicts summer, with gorgeous butterfly and flower imagery of the material. It is a chiffon material so very light and floaty for the warmer weather and I feel this adds to the elegance of the dress. The dress is a little see through, so I'd suggest going for nude underwear/bodysuit underneath. The back is open to about the mid-back with a twist in the bottom of the neck which just makes it a bit more exciting. I'm in fact going to my sister in laws baby shower/BBQ this weekend, and this is my chosen outfit which I feel compliments the occasion nicely.

Perfect Pink Lace| H&M
The pretty pale pink skater dress is perfect for any occasion for both Spring and Summer. Its delicate lace detailing creates a extremely dainty effect exposing just the top of the chest. This adds some definition and breaks up the plain pink throughout. This too is a floaty chiffon material so lovely on warm days. It comes to just above the knee and cinches in at the waist, which is accentuated when you actually wear it to the picture.  The back has extended lace down the back with a fastening button at the top. This actually looks really nice with light coloured skin tight jeans or leggings on the colder days, whatever you fancy, it's easy to dress up or down. Equally it looks awesome with a simple pair of wedges.

Denim Florals| Primark
So in love with this skater dress from Primark. The floral pattern looks great on top of the denim look blue and it looks great with a tan. It's a very flattering dress as it cinches in at the waist however it is slightly on the short side and because I'm tall it looks shorter than it is, so I tend to wear little shorts underneath just in case. There is just a simple zip at the top of the back, but remains plain at the back. I personally wouldn't pair this with any extra trouser or legging options. Looks great with a simple pair of flat sandals or plain wedges.

Plain Peach|Boohoo
This is another perfect summer colour, pastel peach is so in at the minute. It does look great with a tan and compliments any skin colour. It is quite low in the front showing some cleavage (cheeky!) This too is a skater dress therefore to accentuates to waist. This one is a little longer than the others so slightly more appropriate to wear at more formal occasion. This is a jersey material so not always a great material to wear in the hot weather however you can get away with it without any other garments underneath. This is a very flattering dress and looks nice with a cream blazer or cardigan for when the sun goes down.
